A bust of Michelangelo's Davide sits in my dining room, looking out onto the walkway to our house. I think visitors were startled when they first saw him. I think of him as keeping watch over our home. More recently, though, I decided to photograph Davide in a studio I set up at home, due to COVID. What was initially a light-hearted attempt to capture Davide's image evolved into a more dedicated effort to uncover the many sides of Davide, using light.
