These photographs were taken in Iceland, the land of fire and ice, in June of 2016. Waterfallls  dominated the landscape and consciousness--as did the geothermal springs. Hot water emerges directly from the earth. Although it is said that the sun sets at 11pm this time of year in Iceland, in truth , the sun never set.
